For Cox Automotive, hiring and retraining top talent is a key initiative, specifically for its Fleet Services division which is the industry leader in truck maintenance. Cox needed a refreshed look to their Top Tech competition and experience along with exclusive branded gifts to drive employee engagement and satisfaction.
dim•west created and delivered a new identity system that communicates the high level of prestige to accurately represent the extraordinary talent of qualifying finalists and winners.
Authentic & Engaging Digital Experience
Compelling hero imagery featuring previous Top Tech winners was created to drive high engagement move competitors, sponsors and executive leaders. Beyond the Top Tech logo, textures and motifs that align with the trucking industry speak to the grit required to win Top Tech were crucial to enhance the identity system: trucks, oil, electricity, circuits, heavy tools, and most importantly: elite technicians.
Co-Branded Promotional Video
Since Cox Automotive’s workforce is distributed all over the US, the Top Tech digital experience needed to generate excitement and engage its workforce of 1,500 professionals take the qualification test prior to the final in-person competition round.
We collaborated with the world-renowned Andretti Global racing team to create and deliver a promotional video that captures the excitement and prestige of the event, with an authentic Top Tech finalist alum as on-screen talent.

Top Tech Attendees
Working collaboratively with stakeholder groups, executive leaders, field operation leaders, sponsors, competition judges, vendors and contractors, the annual Top Tech experience was another smashing success. The 3-day event included an evening opening ceremony with guest speakers and giveaways. The all-day competition hosted the 45 finalists across 45 unique and cutting edge challenge stations to test their abilities. The evening awards ceremony to celebrated all of the 45 finalists, and the announced and crowned the winners.
